Dr. John Vargas

Consistently named one of New York’s Best Dentists by Westchester magazine since 2012, Dr. Vargas is a cosmetic and family dentist specializing in complex full mouth rehabilitations. He offers a wide range of dental services at his two state-of-the-art practices: Chappaqua Smiles in Westchester, New York and Manhattan Dental Spa in New York City.

Oral health is an essential part of overall wellness, and Dr. Vargas takes great care to improve his patients’ physical health. From veneers and dental implants to crowns and bridges, Dr. Vargas’s expertise has led him to take on some of New York’s most complex cases to great success. Still, he prides himself most on how celebrated he is by his patients for his kind, gentle and friendly approach. 

With a broad educational background, Dr. Vargas completed research at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. After completing his training, he pursued an additional year of study at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where he received extensive prosthetic and surgical training in restoring implants, cosmetics, and other crown and bridge procedures.

Continuously advancing his efforts in modern dentistry practice, he is an active member of the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also volunteered for Operation Smile in Hanoi and Hue, Vietnam, where he provided volunteer dental services to the disadvantaged children of the region.

Dr. Benjamin Kur

Benjamin Kur has been performing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for over 20 years and is a highly sought-after expert known for pioneering innovations within the discipline. Dr. Kur received a BA at The University of Michigan in 1996 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. He completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in 2006. Dr. Kur now serves as a Faculty Associate Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Kur is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center, and LIJ/NJUH, as well as serving as an Adjunct Professor at Touro College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kur is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Kur resides on the American College of Maxillofacial Surgeons board, serving as Regent. His interests lie in treating TMJ disorders, reconstruction of the jaws for implant placement, maxillofacial trauma, pediatric maxillofacial surgery and corrective jaw surgery. Dr. Kur frequently speaks on advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
